Job Title: DISTRICT SUPPORT GEOLOGIST.

Length of Assignment: permanent
Salary: $678 - $749 / weekly.
Location: South Porcupine
Description: The Ministry of Northern Development and Mines' resident geologist program seeks a highly motivated, bilingual individual to provide technical support and administrative assistance. You will: help staff with property visits, drill core library operations, library services; provide technical assistance/information services to clients; process/maintain assessment files, related databases; provide clerical/administrative functions.
Qualifications: proficiency in English and French; working knowledge of geology usually obtained through combination of education, experience; good knowledge of Ontario's geotechnical assessment system; knowledge of Mining Act, administrative policies/procedures, worker responsibilities as outlined in Occupational Health and Safety Act; ability to read/interpret geological maps, air photos; ability to operate CAD geological plotting, general software.
